South Korea is set to surpass $1 billion in ramen exports in 2024 after experiencing a record-breaking shipment month in February.

The customs service reported a 23,000-ton ramen export in February, marking a 20% increase from the year prior.

Ramen exports hit a record $92.97 million in February 2024, up 31.5% from February 2023.

Yelp’s searches for “Chinese Food” were 99% higher on Christmas than any other day in the month while Google’s search interest has peaked on Christmas every year since 2004.
