New to the Anime World? Here are the 5 BEST anime to watch for beginners!

Are you someone who is interested in anime but has never actually watched anime before? Or have you been trying to watch but don’t know what to watch or where to start? Then this is the right place for you!
Luckily, we saw the struggles that beginners have when it comes to delving into the unfamiliar world of anime, so we’ve decided to compile 5 anime titles perfect for people who are just getting started.
Before we throw you into the unknown land of Japanese animation, we want to provide you with some information that will help ease you into the anime culture. I know, you are probably wondering why you need to be “eased” up for cartoons. Well, anime is significantly different from cartoons in its own way. New viewers are usually unaware of the vast number of genres that can be unique and weird or just extremely confusing unless they are familiar with Japanese culture. It is worth noting that although some are peculiar, animes will make their way to your heart if you give them a chance even in their oddest moments. It takes some time to get used to the elements of Japanese animation, but trust me, you will end up loving it.
Now onto the fun part! Choosing which anime to watch~~
1: Your Name. (Alternatively known as Kimi No Na Wa)
2: Demon Slayer
Genre: Adventure, Dark Fantasy, Martial Arts
Description: The story revolves around a young boy by the name of Tanjiro who becomes a demon slayer after his entire family was slaughtered and his younger sister turns into a demon. His brotherly-love for his sister motivates him to become a demon slayer in order to find a way to turn her back into a human. This anime has the most awesome graphics and the storyline is just so captivating with each character development as the story goes on. The audience gets to feel a sense of appreciation from seeing each of their personal stories that truly tug at the heartstrings. This is a must-watch!
3: Kaichou Wa Maid Sama!
Genre: School-life, Romantic Comedy
Description: Maid Sama is about a high-school girl, who is also the president of the school, going through her daily life trying to make her school a better place for girls. Since the school was originally an all-boys school, the new co-ed system allowed her to represent the small population of female students that she believes are being taken advantage of by the boys. She has to balance the responsibilities of the student body president as well as hide her secret part-time job as a maid server from her class. This is a light-hearted anime that you would love if you are interested in seeing romance in the school-life setting. The main characters are unrealistically cool, especially the sexy Usui Takumi 😍 (Main Male Character), which makes it super funny and interesting to see. I really enjoyed watching this when I was a high school student myself. If you are not a fan of action or hardcore fighting and just want a casual and playful romantic comedy, then this anime would be ideal for you.
4: Assassination Classroom
Genre: Sci-Fi, Comedy, Action, School-life
Description: A Japanese junior high school assigns a new strange tentacle octopoid teacher to class 3-E. Prior to becoming a teacher, this creature blew-up a large portion of the moon turning it to a permanent crescent moon. He warns that within a year, he will destroy the Earth, so for some unknown reason he wants to train a class of students to become assassins in order to kill him before then. The plot was so strangely intriguing that you can’t help but want to watch it. While comedic, the anime embodies strong character development from every student as they transition from normal students to straight assassins as the series progress. I mean, who wouldn’t want to learn assassination skills taught by an alien? It sounds SUPER COOL. Watch it here on YouTube
5: Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)
Genre: Action, Dark Fantasy, Post-Apocalyptic, Tragedy
Description: The setting shows a world where humanity lives in wall-bounded cities that protects them from gigantic man-eating humanoids known as Titans. The story follows the main character as he vows to destroy all Titans after they infiltrated their walls and caused mass destruction in his hometown. There is so much to say about AoT. The premise of this anime is so well-thought out that the story, the art, and just the overall message makes this a masterpiece. You will feel all types of emotions watching this anime and you will love it (I know I did). If you want to see a raw and real representation of mankind with cool action fighting, then this is it. You must absolutely try this anime, I guarantee you will become an anime fan after watching it.
