Family Goes Viral Devouring 5.5kg of Durian at Airport After Learning Its Banned on Flights

Family Devouring Durian

A Chinese family went viral after finishing 5.5kg of durian in just 30 minutes outside Chiang Mai International Airport.

Since durians are banned on flights, traveler Li and his family ate box after box on the spot, with each member reportedly consuming four to five pieces to avoid wasting the pungent fruit.

According to Li, his father bought the durians that morning, planning for the family to enjoy them before heading to the airport.

But after several stops and other meals along the way, the boxes of durian remained untouched, leaving the family to eat them all upon arrival.

Li admitted the experience left him exhausted. The family finished all the durian in just 30 minutes and boarded their flight, still carrying the fruit’s strong aroma.

“I never want to see durian again,” he joked, apologizing to fellow passengers for the lingering smell during boarding.
