‘Rush Hour 4’ Officially in the Works After Nearly Two Decades
Nearly two decades after the last installment, ‘Rush Hour 4’ is officially in development, according to Paramount.
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are set to return as Chief Inspector Lee and Detective James Carter, bringing the iconic buddy-cop franchise back to life.
The ‘Rush Hour’ series began in 1998, with sequels in 2001 and 2007, mixing martial arts, comedy, and thrilling action.
The first three films grossed over $850 million worldwide, and Chan and Tucker’s iconic chemistry made the franchise a fan favorite, leaving audiences excited for the duo’s next adventure.
Franchise director Brett Ratner, who helmed the first three films, will return to direct. Chan has expressed urgency, joking that if the sequel isn’t made soon, “Tucker and me will be 100 years old.”
Tucker teased the film would be “on a whole other level,” promising a fresh dynamic.
No release date, and plot details have been announced yet. Paramount will distribute the film worldwide, aiming for a global theatrical release.
Fans are already excited, eagerly anticipating the return of Chan and Tucker, the iconic duo whose chemistry defined the beloved trilogy.

Tokyo to Open World’s First Outdoor Pokémon Theme Park Next Year
In 2026, Tokyo will welcome ‘PokéPark Kanto,’ the world’s first permanent outdoor Pokémon theme park.
The park promises a unique blend of immersive outdoor adventures and themed entertainment, redefining what Pokémon attractions can provide for visitors of all ages.
PokéPark Kanto will open inside Yomiuriland, nestled in Tokyo’s scenic Tama Hills area.
Covering 2.6 hectares, it features two main zones, ‘Pokémon Forest,’ a nature-inspired trail, and ‘Sedge Town,’ a vibrant themed area packed with shops, shows, and exclusive Pokémon merchandise.
PokéPark Kanto officially opens on February 5, 2026. With its mix of natural beauty and immersive Pokémon experiences, it is poised to become one of Tokyo’s top attractions.
Ticket applications opened on November 21, 2025, giving fans an early chance to secure access to the Pokémon paradise.

Simu Liu Goes Viral Calling Out Hollywood’s Lack of Asian Representation in Films
Simu Liu went viral on social media after speaking out about what he sees as a sharp decline in Asian visibility in Hollywood.
The Shang-Chi star urged studios to cast more Asian talent, calling the decline ‘appalling,’ and said the industry still labels Asian actors as ‘risky,’ despite years of proven success.
Liu responded in a post asking why Asians are rarely cast as romantic leads.
He pointed to films like ‘Minari,’ ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once,’ ‘Past Lives,’ ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ and ‘Shang-Chi,’ saying each one proved that Asian-led stories consistently succeed at the box office.
Liu said the problem isn’t talent but prejudice. He argued that no Asian actor has ever caused major losses for a studio, while some white actors fail repeatedly and still get leading roles.
His post drew strong reactions, with many fans agreeing the double standard remains firmly in place.
This isn’t the first time Liu has called out the system. In 2023, he dismissed claims that he was getting the ‘bulk of Asian male roles, saying most of his recent work wasn’t even written for Asian characters.
He stressed that representation should not be treated as a quota or a zero-sum game among Asian actors.
Looking ahead, Liu continues to push forward despite the challenges he highlighted. He appeared in ‘Last Breath,’ voiced several animated projects and will soon lead ‘The Copenhagen Test.’
He’s also set to return as Shang-Chi in next year’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ keeping his momentum strong.
