Team Mongolia Unveils Its Ceremonial Outfits for the 2026 Winter Olympics
Team Mongolia has officially unveiled its ceremonial outfits for the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina.
Created by Goyol Cashmere, the attire will represent the country in Milan as athletes walk into the stadium wearing clothing rooted in Mongolian tradition.
The designs draw inspiration from the powerful era of Great Mongol Empire of the 13th to 15th centuries.
Centered on the traditional deel, the outfits feature high collars for wind protection and distinct tall hats. Each silhouette is crafted to honor the historic attire of Mongolia’s nomadic ancestors.
The team utilized soft, locally sourced Mongolian cashmere known for its incredible warmth and durability.
Each piece is elegantly trimmed with fine silk and embroidered with traditional horn motifs, symbolizing the rich history of the steppes.
Designers wanted the uniforms to be more than a blend of tradition and modern style. Their goal was to present ancient Mongolian clothing to a worldwide audience.
When the athletes step into the Winter Games, they will showcase a proud reflection of their nomadic heritage.
