‘Shogun’ set a new Emmy record for the most wins in a single season, claiming 14 awards at the Creative Arts Emmys.
The FX series exploring political intrigues in feudal Japan won Emmys in nearly every category it was nominated for, including costumes, makeup, editing, stunts, and cinematography, as well as a Best Guest Actor in a Drama Emmy for Néstor Carbonell.
With 25 nominations and a strong performance throughout the event, ‘Shogun’ heads into the Primetime Emmys on September 15th with the potential to extend its record.
