South Korea Win the 2026 Bakery World Cup

South Korea has officially claimed the title of world’s best bakers by securing the gold at the prestigious 2026 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie in Paris, also known as the Bakery World Cup.

In a stunning upset, they bested runner-up Taiwan and even defeated France on their home turf.

The team were not celebrity chefs, but dedicated neighborhood bakers.

Kim Jong-ho, Hwang Seok-yong, Choi Yong-hwan, and Kim Myung-gi trained together for six demanding months, often working through the night to perfect every detail possible.

This year’s theme, ‘The Great Inventions of Your Country,’ pushed teams to tell national stories.

Korea answered with a bread sculpture of the ‘geobukseon’. This ironclad warship, famous for defending the nation during the Joseon Dynasty, was reimagined as a masterful edible work of art.

They also added clear Korean flavors, using ingredients like ssanghwa tea, rice flour, and turmeric.

Blending these local tastes with classic French baking techniques, the team impressed judges and showed how far South Korea’s baking skills have grown on the global stage in recent years.

This marks South Korea’s second victory, the first coming ten years ago in 2016. By tying with Japan and the US for total wins, they have cemented their status as a global baking powerhouse.

No longer just famous for K-pop, Korea is now officially a land of elite baking.

71-year-old Jackie Chan has moved fans worldwide after revealing he has already recorded a personal farewell song meant to be released on the day he passes away.

This emotional project serves as his last goodbye, ensuring his voice remains even when he is gone.

The announcement was shared last December 28 during the Beijing premiere of his latest drama, ‘Unexpected Family.’

Chan said the idea came after losing close friends and colleagues in recent years, which led him to reflect on aging, life’s fragility and the importance of expressing one’s feelings while there is still time.

Despite the audience’s curiosity, he refused to sing a single note. He explained that performing it now would only make people cry.

Instead, the track remains locked away, a private treasure waiting to offer comfort to the world on the day he finally rests.
