Bodybuilding Competition

A 72-year-old grandmother has gone viral for proving age is just a number after winning the 2025 President’s Cup Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in Taiwan.

Last month, Lin Sui-tzu stunned audiences in a bikini, proudly showing her toned muscles and confident smile.

Before becoming a fitness sensation, Lin spent decades working as a diabetes educator in Taipei. She advised patients on managing chronic conditions like high blood pressure through diet.

However, she often grew frustrated when patients ignored her advice, claiming they lacked the time to exercise.

Deciding to lead by example, Lin began weight training at the age of 69. She initially wanted to understand the ‘resistance training’ she recommended to seniors.

She quickly realized it wasn’t just about bulk, but about health and definition, sparking a passion that changed her life.

Her dedication yielded rapid results in the competitive arena. Lin secured third place at a national championship in 2023 and climbed to second place at the TBFA Championship the following year.

Her transformation even impressed her grandsons, who now affectionately call her ‘Invincible Wonder Woman.’

Her husband, a cardiologist, fully supports her intense fitness journey. He emphasizes that resistance training is crucial for combating issues like high blood pressure and diabetes.

Together, they advocate for regular exercise as a vital component of healthy aging.

Lin’s secrets to staying young are disciplined yet simple. She dedicates her mornings to weight training five days a week and follows a low-carb, whole-food diet.

Beyond the gym, she keeps her mind and body active through hobbies like yoga, ballroom dancing, and painting.

Lin offers powerful advice to those fearing old age. She believes the “second half of life” is long and full of potential.

She emphasizes that as long as you are willing to learn and take action, it is never too late to enrich your body.
