In 2018, an ailing father touched hearts worldwide after walking his daughter down the aisle on a stretcher.

65-year-old Pedro Villarin, battling advanced liver cancer, was determined to witness his daughter’s wedding. His incredible presence proved that a father’s love can truly move mountains.

Originally, the bride, Charlotte Villarin, hoped her father would be able to walk her down the aisle in a wheelchair.

However, as his health declined, he became bedridden. Refusing to give up, they used the ambulance stretcher to bring him to the altar.

The wedding photos capture a poignant moment as Charlotte kisses her father’s forehead.

Despite his weakness, Pedro held her hand tightly throughout their walk. It was a beautiful display of pure devotion that left every guest in tears of absolute admiration.

Just days after the wedding, Charlotte Villarin shared on Facebook that her father had sadly passed away.

“It was really painful, but knowing that he left this world [after] fulfilling his dream [of walking me down the aisle], I’m happy no matter what,” she wrote.
