Shang-Chi’ director Destin Daniel Cretton was chosen as the main director and writer for a live-action adaptation of the anime ‘Naruto.’

The Lionsgate adaptation will be based on Masashi Kishimoto’s beloved manga with over 250 million copies sold worldwide.

The movie depicts Naruto Uzumaki’s journey as an aspiring ninja leader in the hidden leaf village.
