Last night, Youn Yuh-jung used sign language to present an Oscar to Troy Kotsur after he made history as the first deaf man to win an acting Oscar for his role in the acclaimed film ‘CODA’.

Youn, who was presenting for the category of ‘Best Supporting Actor’ in this year’s ceremony, signed the words, “Congrats, I love you” to the actor before announcing his name and welcoming him on stage. After presenting him with the award, she then signaled for him to hand her the Oscar so that he could free his hands and sign his acceptance speech.
