A hot pot restaurant in Thailand called Halo Shabu is going viral for their kindness after they offered a free meal to help a father fulfill his daughter’s birthday wish.

The pair visited the restaurant to celebrate the daughter’s birthday, as it was her birthday wish to eat hot pot. However, when they arrived, the father quietly told his daughter that she would have to eat alone because he couldn’t afford to pay for two meals.

To the father’s surprise, his daughter refused to eat unless they could eat together. A waitress serving their table overheard their conversation and told the owner of the restaurant, Panumas Sroitong.

She quickly told her staff not only to give the pair a free meal, but also instructed someone to buy the girl a birthday cake from a nearby convenience store. When asked by local media outlets why she decided to help the pair, she responded, “I saw how much he loved his daughter.”

“It would be even better if Bella’s mother were with us today,” the owner then quoted the father as telling her. She also shared a heartwarming clip of the father and daughter that can be seen below.
