Korean Police Officers Go Viral Starring as Calendar Models to Support Child Abuse Survivors
Korean police officers have gone viral after appearing as calendar models to raise funds for child abuse survivors.
Featuring both men and women, the initiative combines physical fitness with social impact, inspiring the public while supporting a critical cause.
The calendars feature dedicated officers from Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Gyeongnam, and the Coast Guard.
First launched in 2018 by Inspector Park Seong-yong, this initiative aims to raise awareness about the severity of child abuse crimes while funding tangible support for victims across the nation.
To make the cut, officers endured grueling preparations, including 4 a.m. fasted cardio and weight training between exhausting shifts.
Many said the experience gave their fitness routines new purpose, turning personal discipline into a meaningful contribution for child abuse survivors.
For 30-year-old officer Choi Ha-yong of the Seoul 12th Mobile Unit, this was a lifelong dream.
He revealed that watching the calendar updates while studying for his police exams kept him motivated. He is one of 48 officers selected after winning at the ‘Mr. Police Korea Festival.’
After last year’s women’s edition sold out, the 2026 calendar is already in high demand.
Every purchase supports a meaningful cause, with all proceeds going through the Community Chest of Korea to give abused children direct help and a chance for a brighter future.
