Netflix’s ‘XO, Kitty’ Season 2 is off to a strong start on Netflix, besting both ‘Squid Game’ and ‘American Primeval’ on its debut weekend.

Renewed for its second installment back in June 2023, ‘XO, Kitty’ is a spin-off of the popular ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ series, written by Jenny Han, that starred Lana Candor and boasts an enormous fanbase.

The story follows Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, the younger sister of Lana Condor’s Lara Jean as she juggles romantic and familial revelations at the Korean Independent School of Seoul.

According to OTT analytics site FlixPatrol, the show quickly climbed to the #1 spot in over 70 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, and Argentina.

The show stars a returning main cast from Season 1 including Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri) and Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho).

The second installment also introduces three new faces: Audrey Huynh as Stella, Sasha Bhasin as Praveena, and Joshua Lee as Jin.
