Democratic Rep. Andy Kim has made history as the first Korean American elected to the U.S. Senate, following his victory over Republican Curtis Bashaw in New Jersey.
Known for his dedication to public service, Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2019 and has also served in federal institutions, including the Pentagon and the White House National Security Council.
In his victory speech, Kim expressed gratitude to his supporters, family, and his community, vowing to bring reform and renewed integrity to his new role in the Senate.
