Karin trained for six months with the support of a local wholesale company and passed both the academic and practical parts of the challenging exam, surpassing the previous record held by an 11-year-old.
Despite her achievement, she must wait until she turns 18 to obtain a fugu cooking license in her home prefecture but hopes to continue her journey as a certified chef.
