Cannabis Regulation: Thailand’s government is considering new legislation to regulate its booming cannabis industry, potentially halting plans to reverse the landmark decriminalization of the plant.
Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, announced the plan to draft a bill for cannabis regulation, following discussions with Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.
The move comes after tensions within the ruling coalition over cannabis policy, with Srettha’s party pushing for re-criminalization while Anutin opposes it.
