KMB, Hong Kong’s largest bus company, has introduced the city’s first bus route operated exclusively by female drivers and women-prioritized rest facilities at terminuses to challenge gender stereotypes.
The new rest facility at Tin Shui Wai town center bus terminus includes amenities like a changing area and a full-length mirror for female drivers.
Route 69, solely operated by female drivers, connects Tin Shui Wai with Yuen Long, and KMB is exploring more routes for exclusive operation by women drivers.
