This instant ramen, priced at only 298 yen ($2), includes oil to capture the pufferfish flavor, along with dehydrated spring onions, shredded egg, and chicken meatballs, all in a yuzu-flavored soup base.
Nissin stated on its website that the essence of pufferfish is concentrated into a small oil packet for the soup base, without disclosing details on how the potentially lethal flavoring is processed.
