Online retailer Fanatics announced that Shohei Ohtani’s Dodgers jersey was the fastest-selling within the first 48 hours of any player ever.

Ohtani broke the sales records that were previously held by Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Justin Fields and Bryce Harper.

The Japanese superstar led the majors in 2023 with a .654 slugging percentage with 44 homers and a .304 batting average.
