‘Sesame Street’ introduced the show’s first ever Filipino American muppet.
The muppet, named TJ, was born out of a collaboration between Filipino American animator Bobby Pontillas and puppeteer Louis Mitchell. TJ was recently featured in a clip alongside actor Kal Penn and Ji-Young, the show’s first Asian American character.
