Japan is set to officially remove its travel restrictions on individual tourism.

In a press conference held Thursday morning, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced that Japan will be eliminating daily travel caps for international travelers, lifting bans on individual travelers, and removing visa requirements.

The changes are scheduled to go into effect on Tuesday, October 11th, approximately three weeks from the time of publishing.
